EduSignal Adds K-12 District Data for 8 New States

In a significant coverage expansion, EduSignal adds eight new states to its K-12 district database, including Tennessee, Washington, Illinois, Oklahoma, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Arizona and Indiana

As part of our ongoing build out of state data support, EduSignal has added eight new states covering 3,764 K-12 public school districts to its data set, including Tennessee, Washington, Illinois, Oklahoma, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Arizona and Indiana. All told this brings EduSignal's coverage of district academic performance, accountability, and demographic data to 20 states and over 10,000 school districts nationwide.

Unique state data includes:

  • Tennessee: Includes A-F school accountability grades and TVAAS (Tennessee Value-Added Assessment System) growth scores at levels 1-5, alongside TCAP assessment proficiency by grade, ACT composite scores and college-readiness benchmarks, teacher retention rates, chronic absenteeism, ELPA growth metrics, and graduation rates by demographic subgroup.
  • Washington: Features the WSIF (Washington School Improvement Framework) with indicators on a 1-10 scale, Smarter Balanced ELA/Math proficiency rates, Student Growth Percentiles (SGP), regular attendance rates, Dual Credit participation, 9th Grade On-Track indicators, extended graduation cohort data (4/5/6/7-year), and student-teacher ratios.
  • Illinois: Includes IAR (Illinois Assessment of Readiness) proficiency for ELA and Math with breakdowns by subgroup (Low Income, SWD, English Learners), EBF (Evidence-Based Funding) tier and funding capacity, chronic absenteeism and truancy rates, teacher attendance, extended demographics (homeless, youth in care, migrant, military), and graduation/dropout rates.
  • Oklahoma: Features A-F letter grades with a detailed breakdown of six weighted indicators: Academic Achievement, Academic Growth, Graduation Rate, Chronic Absenteeism, English Language Proficiency Progress, and Postsecondary Opportunities. Also includes OSTP (Oklahoma School Testing Program) ELA/Math proficiency and graduation rates.
  • Massachusetts: Includes MCAS (Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System) proficiency for ELA, Math, and Science, Student Growth Percentiles (SGP), accountability status with progress category toward improvement targets, "Requires Assistance" classifications, attendance and chronic absenteeism rates, dropout rates, and average teacher salary data.
  • New Jersey: Features ESSA accountability designations (CSI/TSI/ATSI) with school counts by category, NJSLA (NJ Student Learning Assessments) proficiency for ELA and Math, Median Student Growth Percentile (MSGP), English Learner progress indicators, chronic absenteeism, extended demographics (homeless, foster care, migrant, military), and 4/5-year cohort graduation rates.
  • Arizona: Includes A-F accountability grades at the LEA level, AASA (Arizona Academic Standards Assessment) proficiency with detailed level distributions (1-4), AzSCI science proficiency, AZELLA (Arizona English Language Learner Assessment) performance levels, graduation rates by demographic subgroup with equity gap analysis, and dropout rates.
  • Indiana: Features the GPS (Graduation Pathways System) Dashboard multi-indicator accountability system, ILEARN proficiency for ELA and Math with performance category badges, SAT Grade 11 benchmark achievement for EBRW and Math, AP participation and exam passing rates, attendance rates with category classifications, and chronic absenteeism metrics.
